Life Updates

I went to Nashville Wed-Sun the last week in September. My cousins Kristin and her son Rocco picked me up from the airport and we hung out at the park while Beth finished her Wednesday classes. Rocco is now a walker and he is a cutie! Saturday night Beth and I ate with her classmates at an apartment in her apartment complex.

Thursday I toured Beth's new office. Her department moved to another (new) building on campus. It is very nice and her office space is much better this year. We also visited the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital where she is volunteering in the patient/parent resource center. Vanderbilt has a very nice new children's hospital. Thursday night Beth cooked us some delicious tacos! Yum.

Our parents arrived Thursday night. They drove in after work and made it around 10:00 pm. On Friday we mostly just visited at home and then we went out to eat Italian at a Maggiano's Little Italy. This place has an awesome deal where you order a traditional pasta dish (spaghetti, lasagna, etc) and then you get another portion of the same dish for lunch the next day! How cool is that?!

Saturday we went to the dog park!! There is an area for small dogs and large dogs. Ross spent most of his time in the large dog park because there was no one at the small dog park. Then we moved to the small dog park and another dog showed up to play with Ross.

That night we ate white chili and watched our 48 hours. :) It was so wonderful to spend time with my family. I had not seen my parents in about 6 weeks and it was wonderful to spend time with them.

This week Reid and Angie came to stay with us Sunday -Wednesday morning. I had to work during the day, but we had fun at night. Sunday night Dane smoked a chicken. Smoked chicken is one of my very favorites. Monday Dane took Reid and Angie for a tour of the Duke/Durham area. Monday night we headed to the shopping center for Reid to visit REI. Angie and I went to the World Market which is like a mix between Pier 1 and Hobby Lobby. Fun. We then ate dinner at our favorite local restaurant - Top of the Hill in Chapel Hill. Tuesday was a rainy day so I think the Womacks mostly stayed indoors while I was at work. Tuesday night Dane cooked us some sausage and peppers and we watched the new Tim Allen tv show. This morning the Womacks ate at Elmo's Diner before heading south to visit Corey. I was very sad so see them leave. I am looking forward to visiting with all of our family at Thanksgiving!

Oh.. and on another major life note, I recently started my first job as a PT and I love it. It is a wonderful job, my co-workers are wonderful and the job is a great environment for a new PT. I am very grateful.

...I need to do a Thanksgiving post soon. :)
